History:

The chapter was incorporated in 1982 and reports it is the largest Vietnam Veterans chapter in Nevada. Part of its mission statement reads, “The purpose of Vietnam Veterans of America’s is to foster, encourage, and promote the improvement of the condition of the Vietnam veteran improving their quality of life. To eliminate discrimination suffered by Vietnam veterans and to develop channels of communications that will assist Vietnam veterans to maximize self-realization and enrichment of their lives and enhance life-fulfillment. …”
