Discription:
A large block of textured marble with white lettering. On top of the block is a concrete sculpture of a winged eagle with two small cloth American flags that furl in the breeze. To the left and right of the memorial on each side is one uniquely designed park-style benches painted red, white, and blue to resemble American flags. The engraving in large letters reads, “Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.” In smaller letters, it includes the names of all those who funded the memorial, with the attribution, “Eagle Scout Project of Nicholas Sich, Boy Scout Troop 903.” After the names, the engraving reads, “Dedicated to our fallen heroes who rest in this field Memorial Day May 31, 2004.” The immediate grounds surrounding the memorial are covered with decorative white rocks. A flagstone walkway leads up to the memorial for those who want a closer look.
