Milo N. Dumovich was born in Cerijne, Montenegro, in September, 1893. Having emigrated to America and taken up a residence at Tonapah, Nye County, Nevada, he showed his loyalty to his adopted country by volunteering in her army (October 13, 1917). From Tonopah he went to the Presidio at San Francisco, and was assigned to Ambulance Co. 31, M. C. He served with this unit until disease took him from the ranks on August 1st, 1918. His death occurred at Palo Alto, California. Previous to his enlistment he had been a miner at Tonopah, and was a member of the Serbian Young Men’s Society of that place. He was a man of good character and honesty, which characteristics were recognized by his many acquaintances. In the soldier’s grave at Colma, California, lies a true son of the Stars and Stripes. An uncle, Antonio Wuyovich, of Tonopah, Nevada, survives him.
