Hero Bio:
James P. Restos (Demetrios P. Restos) was a young Greek who came to this country and settled in Ely, Nevada. He entered the military Service of the United States from White Pine County and was first assigned to Company D, 160th Infantry. On September 10, 1918, he was transferred to Company E, 127th Infantry, 32d Division. He left the United States for France August 12, 1918, and on September 26, 1918, was reported as wounded and missing in action. He was killed in action, October 17, 1918, in the Bois de Bantheville, Meuse-Argonne Offensive.
His father, D. P. Restos, Village Varvana, Corinthos, Province Arkadia, Greece, survives him. Communication could not be established with his relatives. His name appears on the Honor Roll of White Pine County.
