Hero Bio:

Gus Bouzas, born at Hange, Greece, October, 1890. Entered the service from Ruth, Nevada, April 26, 1918. Served in the 5th Battalion, 166th Depot Brigade, Camp Lewis, Washington, to June 15, 1918; and in Company A, 316th Engineers, 91st Division, until his death. Went overseas with the 91st Division on July 6, 1918. Served with the division in reserve at St. Mihiel, September 12-13, 1918; and in the Meuse-Argonne Offensive beginning September 26, 1918. Died October 2, 1918, of wound received in the action, during the capture of Epinonville and Eclisfontaine, and the attack on Gesnes. Person notified of death, Panagos D. Bouzas, father, Hange, Pillas, Greece.

All efforts to communicate with relatives and acquaintances have failed. His name is on the White Pine County Roll of Honor.
