Carmelo Bloisi was born at San Josto, Italy, about the month of March, 1892. He entered the service from Gardncrville, Douglas County, Nevada, on the 5th of October, 1917. While in the service he served in the 40th Company, I0th Battalion, 166th Depot Brigade,Camp Lewis, Washington, until January 14, 1918, and thereafter in
Company A, 361st Infantry, 91st Division until his death. He went overseas on July 6th, 1918. His death occurred on the 8th of October, 1918, at a point north by west of Gesnes, during the great Meuse-Argonne Offensive, the long
batde in which so many of our heroes fell. The person notified of his death was Frank Bloisi, brother, Gustine, California, but all efforts to get in touch with his relatives have failed. His name appears on the list of the noble dead from Douglas County.
